Just My Luck
Things have been going really good for me lately…I mean, really good. That’s what has me concerned. Usually…I mean almost always…OK, I mean always, when things are going well, something bad happens.
Yeah I know,
“The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.”
It’s just that there’s no,
“The Lord taketh away and then he giveth back.”
You would think these things would even out but, I have to tell you, I’m way behind in the taketh away’s.
That’s what has me so worried. Everything has been going so well, I must be in for a disaster. I was trying to figure out what could go wrong and then I saw it.
Apparently, there’s a piece of a Chinese Rocket flying around space that’s about to fall down upon the earth. This part of the rocket was supposed to drop off into the ocean after launch. That didn’t happen and now it’s hurtling around the atmosphere at over 17,000 miles an hour and getting close to earth.
Their referring to it as space junk and of course it is. Have you ever bought anything made in China? It’s all junk.
Anyway, this piece of space junk is about to come crashing into earth any day now…and that’s where I come in.
Scientists are saying it’s most likely to land in the ocean or a remote area. There’s little chance it will hit a major city or residential area…I’m not buying it.
I know, I have a way better chance of hitting the Power Ball than I do of having a plunging rocket landing on my head…I’m just looking at if one of these is going to happen…It’ll be the taketh away.
You can say,
“Just keep an eye out.”
The problem being, at 17,000 miles an hour, you don’t have a lot of time to react.
“Hey, is that a UF…”
SPLAT!
“What’s that light in the…”
SPLAT!
“Hey, I just hit the Power…”
SPLAT!
Anyway, if you need me, I’ll be in the basement all weekend. It’s the best plan I could come up with. It might work.
Maybe I should just trying to be more positive.
